After almost 12 years at the helm of Social Business Trust, co-founder Adele Blakebrough will be stepping down from the role of CEO at the end of this month. Deputy CEO, Joanne Hay, will be making the permanent move up to the role of CEO.

SBT will continue to tackle social inequity by championing social enterprises who are already playing a crucial role in society. The work of these businesses and charities has never been more vital as we emerge from the pandemic and are faced with inflationary pressures and a cost-of-living crisis, not seen in a generation.

I’m delighted to be handing over the SBT baton to Joanne Hay. Having worked together these past two years, I have no doubt that she will be able to take SBT to new heights.

Joanne has huge experience in the sector and we look forward to her leadership of SBT. SBT will always have an enormous debt of gratitude to Adele.
